    CAUTION re AVADirect:
I ordered the Intel 310 (for my M4600) from AVADirect because they said that they had 8 parts in stock. I called to confirm that the parts were in stock. While on the phone confirming this, I placed the order. Guess what? They have no parts in stock. This bait-and-switch tactic to secure an order is annoying. I spoke to the company president today who said that the parts WERE in stock when I asked, but that they then were sold within the 1 second that it took me to click "order."

BEWARE of ordering anything from this company.

I canceled my order. They had to reprocess my former order (shpiing date 9th of June) and the new shipping date is the 25 th.

Was the last time that I considered DELL!

Don't worry about the estimated shipping date, Dell just purposely put it far longer to safeguard themselves. Actual shipping date will be half of the waiting time. For me, my estimated shipping date is 24th June, but just now i called them and was informed by first week of June i will be getting it. The laptop has also been tagged and they gave me the Service Tag number for me to put side order on extra power adapter, mSATA etc.

Hope you are right. My ETA is 6/14 and it's still showing in production. If your info applies universally I should get mine next week. We'll see. I'm not holding my breath!

Sorry havoctex, need a little more precision about it : the mSATA you're talking about, can be either a mSATA SSD and a minicard (mini-pcie) SSD, or just a minicard (mini-pcie) SSD ???
I'm asking that because both of them share the same slot, and I wonder if the msata SSD like the Intel 310 80go will works as bootable disc in W7 in the M4600 ?

I mean : is the slot inside the M4600 a combo mini-pcie/msata slot or only a minicard (mni-pcie) slot ?????

Thank you very much for answering and clarifiyng !!!!:)
