M6400 scratch & dent.

    Yes. They will typically give you one thats refurb, with same or better specs.
    However, if you complain a lot, often times if you have major scratches, you can make up some scenario and they'll send you a replacement part.
    I ordered my E6400 from the outlet, and was immediately annoyed by the dead pixel. I calmly explained the situation (and exaggerated a little), and they sent me a new display. Then, I was messing around with the antennas at the top of the screen, and I couldn't get the bezel to snap back on (my fault). Chatted with them again, complained (said the problem was there when I got it) and got more than I asked for. I wanted a new bezel, I got a new bezel AND lid.

    Dell's support is excellent. You just need to know how to deal with them.

    wowo! interesting to hear. I'll keep this in mind. being that this will be my very first dell. I'm glad I bought a computer with good customer support. I'm optimistic.
