Dell sells a neoprene sleeve for the M6400 for about $40.

"Dell sells a neoprene sleeve for the M6400 for about $40."

yeah, I admit, the Spire stuff is a bit pricey - but its because its about as strong as it gets. Not for everyone perhaps though if you need something that looks business or if youre now broke from buying this thing (ha ha thats what credit if for)

"i too am an owner of a 9100 and am definately going to purchase a covet after seeing the comparisons, "

Very glad I could help - theres nothing like being able to see comparisons of what you have with what you want. ha ha. Though obviously in some ways, there is really no comparing these laptops. One is like a big fat snail, and the other is like a sleek lightning fast falcon ha ha - or at least one that has a big fat bowling ball attached to its feet (power supply).

    ok enough oddball metaphors.

wait for a coupon. They may show up here or on Ebay or elsewhere. Some people here were able to do that.

How long you had your OS with RAID 0?
    Some consider it too risky.
    Any problems?

Thanks a lot for these pictures - very interesting!
it's very clear the color gamut of the M6400 is MUCH wider than a CCFL screen - but i will also say your screen needs to be adjusted a bit:) (I use a hardware calibrator called "Huey pro" from Pantone systems - but you can also just play around with the nvidia control-panel :))

About wireless - i had the excact same problem on my old E6500 - Dell's 1510 card seems VERY unstable.

I am curious, why would the monitor not ship more correctly if its wrong then?
I mean yeah, color is subjective to a point, but there are correct standards. I work in post production and though I work in audio, I know the video guys use color bars to adjust to some sort of "correct standard". Why would the monitor not already ship like that? And are you saying that my monitor is different than others shipped? hmmm.

Well, I need to learn more about it. When I play with the controls (again - not a video guy and afraid of changing too much right now) it doesnt seem to take away the saturation of the color, just changes the color that is heavy. The red green and blue colors are all very "strong" for lack of a better word.

If anyone knows where I can learn more about this for monitors of this sort, I would love some info.

I will look up that hardware calibrator. I have no idea what that is.
