Unrelated. AHCI is the disk controller mode, ACPI has to do with power management.

Ha ha, Thanks. Don't I feel silly now.

That's what I get for doing that at 1:30 in the morning.

Those results were with Windows 7 Professional X64, writing to a 32GB USB 3.0 SLC-based flash drive. The source file was on a Mushkin 480GB SSD.

Just got my Msata installed and working (Samsung evo 500Gb). Ran CrystalDiskmark to compare performance with the standard 256Gb preinstalled and results for a.Seq, b. 512k, c. 4k and d. 4kQD32 are:
    256Gb Liteon a. 520/439, b 407/427, c 37/101, d 209/149
    500Gb Samsung EVO a. 532/514, b 492/502, c 46/141, d 350/245

    hope that helps

I've been looking at this with FirePro M5100, can someone tell me how well does Enduro work? From what I can gather it seems to be manual switching only, or does it feature manual switching alongside with the automatic switching? (Not that it's a bad thing, I actually prefer manual, didn't have much joy with Nvidia's Optimus when I had a M4600 /w Quadro 2000M)

edit: another question, how well does FirePro M5100/Quadro K2100M overclock? And how far can I expect to overclock them? I know these cards aren't the best for overclocking, but getting extra performance out of anything is nice.

Anyone use or try the Dell d5000 wireless dock with this computer?

I use one at home - mostly for the faster Internet (no displays currently connected).

What do you want to know?

According to notebookcheck.net the M5100 should be equivalent to K2100M, but then I don't understand why the configuration with M5100 is slightly cheaper than K1100M. Does someone know?
Isn't the FirePro M5100 ISV certified?

Curious if there's any lag for things connected. I am guessing the thing doesn't wirelessly power the laptop, so you still have to plug that in, which may defeat the purpose of a docking station for me. Just curious if this thing is more gimmick or it kicks butt.

No, it doesn't power the laptop - I have a traditional dock at work, which does - I like this one for at home - I can sit on the couch and get speedy Internet with it tucked away by the switch in the entertainment center (the router is two floors down so regular wifi is fine but not the fastest).

I did have it connected to a display for a while and it seemed to work fine. It was a little fussy until I updated the firmware on it, but seems pretty good now.

It does need line of sight to the lid of the laptop to work well, but I think it's great (considering I picked it up on eBay for $30).
