Got my 4980hq for 120 via superbuy which is a middle man for taobao.

Could be that supply is low at the moment.

Wow! superbuy looks like a great website. Can you give us your seller's link?
I see that some guys on superbuy are selling 4980HQ for $70 USD.

    https://www.superbuy.com/en/page/buy?url=http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=601625633786&nTag=Agent-product-taobao

500 CNY is only $70 USD.

I'm curious if this will work on M4800. If it works, then I think I'll forget about 4940MX.

It's worth noting that with this cpu because of how it's packaged you lose DP function. I think this is what prevented my 4980hq from posting in my ranger but I can't be sure.

I'm guessing it's because I am using eDP though that shouldn't matter as it disables IGP. I don't know, but in my t440p it works just fine, without mDP function. I still have vga if I need it but so far I have never used it lol

4980HQ worked in M6800... I think it could work in M4800 too.

isnt that the LGA listing, because the PGA listing is taken down?
It says 1150 in the title which refers to the LGA model of this cpu mod

I'm not sure... so do I have to buy a PGA model if I want to use it in M6800 or M4800?

Anyone know the difference between W7R2C or THP1N motherboards?
They both are LVDS spec and I currently have the W7R2C

Hi, I just joined the M4800 bandwagon and I'm facing some issues from the get go.
    i7-4810MQ, 16GB, FHD, 256 GB mSATA, K2100M, BIOS running A25

After fighting to get the OEM license I ended up buying a Win10 pro retail license

The current issue is that the system doesn't recognize the Nvidia graphics card, not even in the BIOS It's there, I reseated it and applied thermal paste before closing the laptop: The device manager doesn't show a second adapter (nor other unknown device), The Nvidia driver installation fails at "compatible graphics HW not found".
Do you have any ideas? Any software to detect or test this board?
