I have currently 32G of RAM in my M4800, however I do not cross more than 20GB during my usage (i.e the Max).

I recently bought a notebook which came with 4GB RAM and can be upgraded to 8GB (bus speed same as M4800), if I remove an 8GB RAM from back slots of M4800 leaving one 8GB in the back slot and leave the 2 8GB's under the keyboard, with this configuration of 24GB on M4800 will there is any issue?

I think the only issue is you will lose symmetric dual channel, but the system will likely default to asymmetric dual channel.

Ah! I forgot about that :(

If my usage is such that it takes less than 16GB RAM then I can take out both 8GB RAM's from RAM banks/slots on the back of laptop and in this configuration it will work in Dual channel mode still as one bank below the keyboard still has 2x8GB RAM's?

Anyone else had their fans constantly running even under no load since A19 or is this just a coincidence for me?

40c temps and maybe 5% cpu, yet fans are both always humming along.

    Didn't notice this previously.

I have A19 on mine and have never noticed this. The only time my fans run is when it is under load. You might want to check into cleaning your system out. I clean mine every month at least.

I'm not sure, but I think if you leave everything as it is now, you'll get dual channel on the 16GB, and non-dual channel on the remaining RAM.

Good afternoon everyone! Need your help.
Could someone remove the video or photo viewing angles M4800 with the matrix Full HD. Considering this laptop to replace my Acer Aspire 4830TG he has a terrible vertical viewing angles. And what video card is preferable to take for the average user M5100 or K2100? Is it possible in BIOS to disable the discrete video to save power? How much it may stretch in viewing full HD vidio?
PS Sorry for bad English I am from Russia and we have little information about DELL M 4800, and I fell in love with him at first sight.

In the manual on the M4800 vidio and CPU and video card are not connected to each other with the cooling system. But in this video the Heat pipes diverge to both coolers. Apparently this is due to the different versions of video card?

The fullHD display in the M4800 is the same as in the E6530 - you can find a review of that over here:
    https://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell-Latitude-E6530-Notebook.88073.0.html

I went for the M5100; @valuxin has made some BIOS mods for that to increase Vcore which allows some hefty overclocking (see my signature; stock clocks were 775 / 1125).

Yes, the discrete video card can be disabled from the BIOS, but i'm not sure if or how much movie-watching battery life you can gain from that. I could be wrong, but i think it's "put to sleep" when you're on battery, unless you start some 3D-using program.

I've had mine since summer of 2014, and i don't think i'll be replacing it anytime soon :D Eagerly waiting to hear news about the possibility of upgrading the video card to an RX560, though...
