    Thanks for answering!
I think this dock should be good for me as well. But just curious whether there are other options that people here are using?

Pretty much the only options (for the bottom dock port) are the "E-Port" and "E-Port Plus". PR02X is the E-Port Plus. The regular E-Port is PR03X, which is a little smaller and missing some connectors. (For example, only one DVI/DP instead of two.)

You can also look at USB 3.0 docks, but any displays you hook up there will not use the internal GPU so may perform slowly for some applications.

My (uneducated) guess is that there's something wrong with the ACPI driver/power management driver that's causing this. An absolute pain in the arse to loose so much battery life.

In addition, my laptop seems to have some odd glitches when trying to resume from standby as it'll get stuck in a boot loop or just restart completely (and potentially wipe out work).

I really liked Windows 10 when I first saw them in a VM.
It seems good luck I can’t afford to spend time on due transition yet, though.

Got mine today. Works fine, except I had a weird issue that the webcam and microphone wouldn't work. Turned out the cable for it was slightly dislodged. Reseated it, works fine.

The screen is 1080p and it's better than I expected. It'll be fine.

Got a question about the eraserhead though. It seems you can't use it and type at the same time (eg. FPS game where you use WASD/arrows to move and mouse to look, eraserhead is decent for that).

Is there a driver that would allow me to control the touchcheck for the pointing stick?

Could be ACPI when lan is concerned, but hdds and gpu randomly turning on would be due to telemetry ms is colecting.

I only play one game at this point, every 2-3 weeks for an hour or two and half a minute after a random hdd spins up latency spikes and upload is clogged and latency spikes. Ive turned off all i could find without tweaks to registry.

W7 works extremely well for my needs so im gonna stay there

Sorry, what is it that you want the pointing stick to do or not do?

You can't be typing on the keyboard and use the pointing stick at the same time. (Try moving the mouse with the pointing stick while holding down the "W" key --- doesn't work.) oeuvre is asking for a way to correct this so that you can do both at the same time.

I haven't tried any drivers other than the Dell ones but they indeed do not appear to have an option for this.

It should move when I type instead of freeze the cursor.
