Just look up your configuration on dell, then search for edp.

You’ve already bought it, so wait and see how you like what comes. Given by the specs you posted, you’re gonna be stuck with whatever you can find for side-mounted LVDS 40-pin, and that’s it. There are some wide-gamut TN LCDs, but IPS panels… I don’t think such are easy to come by, or even exist, for LVDS.

Thanks for the help, folks. I'll let y'all know how I like it when it comes.

I'm pretty familiar with the machine since it's essentially an M4600 (I used to have one) with better hardware.

    Hi,

What would be a good docking station for M4800? And where to buy it at a decent price?
This has probably been asked a million times already so if you could refer me to previous answers I'd be glad as well..

    Thanks,
    Michael

PR02X works but does not have USB 3. You can find it cheap on eBay as oeuvre mentions. Make sure you get at least an 180W power supply to use with it. It has the same power connector as your laptop so you can use the same brick if you want.

I have two of these (one for M6700 and one for M4800) and they work great. At one point I was driving three external monitors off the dock (two DVI + one VGA).

Never realized, but you're right, even after they released the USB 3.0 version they still called is PR02X. You'll have to check specifically to see if it has USB 3.0 if it matters to you.
