Machine still in the build process, it initially was quoted with the 1601 and then I asked to change it to the 7260, they said no problem and up'd the price a couple of dollars. The display is as well the QHD+ 3200. Now I'm questioning it, I hope it turns out!

Please let us know when you receive your machine if it indeed came with the AC7260 card.
When is it supposed to be delivered?
And on which Dell site did you order it? Through Dell USA?

got my m4800 with a firepro 5100m and 1080p screen

no enduro working for me on w8.1, i can enable it in the bios but when i'm doing this, both drivers (amd+intel) are just crashing all the time.
    not checked yet on linux

anyway i have more than 4 hours of batery life (my old laptop has 5 min ...), and that's enought for me.

an other bug: the wifi led just keep blinking all the time when connected to a wifi network on linux (mint15)
the a03 bios solve many issu, crash on sleep (black screen), noise on the cd-rom drive...

the firepro m5100 works very fine in games (bf3), some problems with the driver (i installed the radeon 13.10 one), i can play on hight detail level with about 29/30fps in 1080p (i lower the level (middle) to get better fps)

its my first dell and so far i'm very happy with it!

I suspect that the latest Intel HD 4600 driver from Dell is broken (the one called 9.18.10.3204, A04, 17 september 2013). It doesn't install on my m4800 either - although I don't have NVIDIA nor QHD+.

I went to Intel and installed their driver instead (version 15.31.17.64.3257, August 2 2013). I then installed the latest FirePro driver from Dell (version 12.104.2.6000, A01, 15 october 2013) and that one installed without a problem. Now the graphics is working as expected, it automatically switches between the FirePro and Intel GPU.

Some WiFi drivers have the LED blink with activity which is what you are probably seeing. It might blink faster and faster if you are using more bandwidth.

Thanks for pointing that out, but I did try intel's version from their website and it wouldn't install with the QHD+ screen. Doesn't look good now.

I don't think it would work either as even dell support says it is not compatible with Optimus. Did you try uninstalling the Nvidia first before installing (though it probably won't make a difference)?

No, Windows 8.1 recognized the K2100m by default. I think auto-update took care of it.

Thank you. Great to see it have the enter key with standard IBM keyboard layout. .
Unlike some layout puts up and down keys in one row, which is too small for my finger,
dell's layout is better for my taste.
