OK got it, thanks again for the quick reply. I emailed support today and asked that they cancel my order. It is listed as "in production" so we'll see what they say...

Mines in production, estimated delivery date is the 15th. I'll see what problems (besides optimus) it has.

Has anyone here used the D5000 WiGi dock? I was wondering if it could be possible to use it about 25-30 feet away from the laptop behind a wall? I wanted to use it with a DSLR to remotely shoot video/pictures.

I believe most reviews showed connection issues beginning at around 8-10 feet, so 3 times that distance with a wall seems like a no-go.

That's what I'm afraid of. I didn't want to buy it with my computer then have it just sit there. 8-10 feet isn't much.

Yeah, I would not expect it to work through walls, especially at that distance.

Thanks for the link. Any idea what's being done differently with the M3800 to make the difference?

Posted 11/1, exactly 2 days I started bothering the crap out of their uninformed support people (due to no evidence in the manual) and the day I finally heard back from an upper tier engineering team.

Strange it says "The QHD+ display has Embedded Display Port (eDP)...Intel UMA graphics doesn't interface with this technology".
eDP is clearly listed as supported by Haswell mobile CPUs - so they couldn't figure out how to route switchable graphics?

    Is QuickSync enabled?
Or do you have to use something like LucidLogix Virtu in dGPU mode to enable QuickSync with the QHD+ display?

I got the link reading a chinese forum.(people are puzzled overthere aswell) Somehow someone is able to dig that out.

Without optimus, I believe all the intel stuff/tech won't work.
