    And you have a QHD+ (3200x1800) display?
Is your machine still in the build process or have you already received it?

If it would really work that would be great news indeed.

From what my sales rep told me I had gathered so far that for the 60GHz antenna the display needs a different back then for the 2.4 and 5 GHz antennas. And that currently only the one for the 1601 card was available.

I just got my m4800 with AMD FirePro (non-QHD+ display). I'm surprised it arrived at my door exactly at the date Dell had estimated.

So far I'm very happy with it! :)

Both the FirePro and the Intel HD 4600 show up in Windows. I also did a regular Ubuntu installation and the cards are also reported in the Xorg log file. I haven't figured out if both are actually working in Linux, and whether it has the ability to automatically switch between them (I guess not).

    Got M4800 with QHD+ and K2100M. No option to switch to HD 4600 in BIOS. (A03). One of my apps is not happy with the K2100M and I need to try using the Intel HD 4600. I cannot install the Intel driver ... "This computer does not meet ... min ... req" error. I understand this is due to K2100M is using "discrete GPU" and as soon as it is connected the onboard graphics will be disabled ? {Can any one confirm ?}

    a) Is the HD 4600 supporting QHD+ ?
    b) Is the only way to get the HD 4600 activated to open the M4800 and physically removing the K2100M card and then install the Intel HD 4600 driver ?

.... and by the way, yes I can confirm to one earlier post that when the machine went into "sleep" it lost wireless connection and I had to fully shutdown and restart to get the wireless back. I removed the option to have the machine go into sleep mode.

You are right, the onboard graphics are disabled so you cannot install or update the Intel drivers.

    a) Is the HD 4600 supporting QHD+ ?
Can the HD4600 support QHD+? Yes it can as seen on XPS 15 and M3800. Does HD4600 support QHD+ on M4800? No, and according to Dell, they don't plan on changing that, though it seems like it could be fixed by a BIOS update. So there is no Optimus or any ability at all to use integrated graphics on a QHD+ system.

    b) Is the only way to get the HD 4600 activated to open the M4800 and physically removing the K2100M card and then install the Intel HD 4600 driver?
This is a really interesting idea, I haven't thought about yet. But considering how disabled they are I doubt you will even be able to boot with the K2100m out.

If you would like to, contact Dell support as we need to make this a more widely-known issue. Nowhere on their site does it say QHD+ does not support Optimus and there is no reason it can't support it. For people who either want to use Intel HD graphics or care any at all about battery life (like me), it is a dealbreaker. I would try taking out the GPU but my system is going back Friday and I don't want to risk any issues in the return process.

bruehlicke, if you could chime in on this Dell Support thread too, it might help. I actually posted my reply before looking at the OP's username and realizing it was changt34x, haha.

    a) Optimus is not working with QHD+ so you cannot use the HD 4600. Discrete GPU only.

    b) This worked on the M4600/M6600/M4700/M6700 (removing the discrete GPU causes the machine to boot with the Intel GPU). However, it only works in situations where Optimus is an option. You also lose HDMI and DisplayPort. Not sure if it will work in the M4800 with QHD+ screen... someone will have to try and see.

Can anyone post an image of the U.S. version keyboard layout? Thank you.

It's the same as the previous two generations (except the updated Windows logo). M4800 and M6800 use the same keyboard.

Here's one of Bokeh's pictures of the M6700 keyboard.
