Thank you Aaaron, good info that I didn't know, will save me another headache in the future. I considered upgraded my machine, but I will probably just sell it and grab an IPS M4600 or M4700.

I can't find any comments confirming or denying PWM on the IPS, hopefully someone can chime in on that regard.

Another note then. IPS displays in the M4600 and M4700 have a known color tint issue that bugs many people. In fact, I believe Dell stopped selling IPS M4700s because of this issue. I'm sure you can find information about it if you look in the early pages of this thread.

Yes I've read a lot about the corner tinting issue, red hues, green/blue corners, and am not too worried. The lack of PWM is far more important! ;)

Guys, currently I'm working on the "make GPU on m4600 great again" project to patch ACPI of the M*600 generation, so that GPUs with Kepler and newer could work the way it should.

I need help of m4700 owners: can you share all of your ACPI tables? Just download RWEverything, go to ACPI tab and save every table in .bin format. I would appreciate any help:)

I would love to help you but I have no idea how to do it :). If you post some kind of step by step manual I will gladly upload what you need.
