    Hi,

I know this is an old post, but I just purchased a refurbished M4700 and was hoping to swap the Quadro K1000M with a Quadro K1100M. Not a huge upgrade but the price was right. Is that a possibility? I bought a Dell Branded card but it is not recognized in Windows 10. Do you think it should work if I can downgrade to Windows 7?

    Thanks for your time!

Hey. I had problem with Win 10 on my K2100M which I exchanged from K1000M. Problem was that I had signal only on DisplayPort. Try to plug monitor into DisplayPort and you will see if the card works. Then Win 7 should be no problem in my oppinion.

ok i got it working. m2000m runs great on windows 7, only have to use Optimus. Since i had it disabled - laptop would launch but no video on screen or external display. i was too lazy to disassemble everything, so i just unplugged bios battery, held power button to reset bios and restarted and set date/time. also when connected external display - it skips optimus as all the ports are running from mxm card. all good.
Guys who have problem with windows 10 - is it driver issue? do you see the boot screen at all? just no windows ?

    M4700 IPS premiercolor owners ..

Could someone verify if the Panel pulses or flickers at a high rate - PWM (Pulse width modulation)?

I want to swap to the IPS, I currently have a TN LP156WF1 panel (1920x1080) and it flickers at 1700 Hz.

The only way to know would be if you have an oscilloscope, or, if from using the screen it gives you a migraine / headache after about 30 mins.

    Very appreciative for any info.

Can't comment on the PWM, but I wanted to put up a heads up that you should check into the panel swap carefully if you haven't already... I'm pretty sure a different motherboard will be needed in order to switch from TN to IPS. (TN panels use LVDS and IPS panels use eDP in the M4700, and the motherboard only has one of the ports on it, not both like in the M6700.)
