MSI Afterburner can only if you modify the limit range manually in a configuration file. At the same time, pushing GDDR3 VRAM over 1170 MHZ is pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

Well I tried with the modifying but it doesnt work for the LATEST Msi... It works for the one generation older ones which I dont know where to download.. it should be like 2.0 or 2.1 version.

Anyways I want to pull at least 35% for these memory. It is at 30% flat right now and it is essentially the bottleneck. Though for now it is ridiculously stable so I have no worries with that. my gpu core clocked 40% flat higher very stable.

Every GPU is different and if you're getting artifacts when temperatures are ok, most likely you've maxed out your GPU's capability. There is no software that will increase your hardware's performance.

I am not getting artifacts with current clocks. the gpu itself seems to have reached the limit, but I am not quite sure about the memory. I know that it wont clock as much as the gpu core, but i am just trying to pull extra 5%.

So ANY way to have limitless softare for the mem clocks?

Well I don't do a lot of gaming but Battlefield 3 runs on the stock 2000m. I'm now intrigued with overclocking to see what will happen. I am going to try Dellienware's method.. Wish we could get some screen shots of the for people to reference.

I am still having trouble finding is it systools or Nvidia system tools.. Where can you find that on the nvidia website.

Memory overclocked fine temp hasn't moved at all with afterburner.

    Afterburner Results:
    GPU 715
    Memory1170
    Shader Clock 1430

    Temps 1-2degrees difference

1 hour Battlefield 3 from medium to high no problem. Waiting to find out about the system tools so that I can push the gpu a little further.

The thing is even with subpar cooling you can still benefit from the extra 200mhz in apps that don't stress all 8threads. So there is some reason to have an extreme edition. Plus, if you do a good paste job and use a cooler pad, you may be able to control the heat @ stock clocks.

I'm currently trying 4.5Ghz on all cores but the CPU would throttle down as soon as the temps climb to 85-90C. With an adequate cooling system the chip can go up to 5Ghz stable.

That is impressive. I've had some great luck overclocking the gpu. What paste and pads do you suggest? Any suggestions would be helpful. I hope to collect all these tips and rewrite the first post to help everyone. What are you using software wise to overclock also btw. Thanks!!
