There it is straight after the announcements made at CES2015. The new latitude family; amongst them the 7250, the successor of the well received 7240.

First impressions based on the techspecs from the Dell US website; Nothing much changed, an upgrade to the broadwell family cpu's from intel and minor upgrades here and there, slightly larger battey. Intel broadwell does promise slightly increased performance per clock-tick and more energy efficient. In addition the WWAN option is now 4G. Dell does not allow full customization anymore, so you have to pick between the i5 model wit a 1080P screen or the i7 configuration with 720P screen. Can't get best of both worlds.

If you click over to the second page there is a customizable 5600u model that let me select the 1080p screen, should be available (at a cost!)

Don't we already have another thread for this?

However, they just allowed customization last Friday, I'd figure their configuration website is going to be a bit funky until mid February, at least.

I know my E5450 that I just ordered cannot have Gobi LTE (because it hasn't been certified with the FCC, yet), and the i7/840m/fingerprint reader combo is technically doable (call in to order), but not according to the website.

Jeremy, he is talking bout the 12" that does not have 840m option I think. I don't know if we need separate 7250 and 7450 forum or not?

I'm in doubt between this and the x240/x250.

16GB, F keys as standard and ssd (card) at that price is a nice deal.

Great news, that they will offer more customization options. For the 7240, this was not possible for a superlong period. I settled for the extra horsepower instead of the 1080P screen. Getting mine next month :)

I really had troubles finding E7240 information in the 7440 tread. That's why I started this separate post.

Just received my i5 touch 256GB model. First Dell after a decade of Lenovos.

Build quality appears excellent, solid well-made device.

I ordered a spare battery just in case (51wh) although frustratingly it needs some screws to fit the cover on (as opposed to the battery actually having a cover if that makes sense); will report back on battery life once I've had a few days' use (Windows 10).

Screen is excellent, although not worked in any challenging conditions yet, but love the 1080p (primary reason I upgraded from my Lenovo X230).

Keyboard is ok so far, not keen on the tiny enter button but will hopefully get used to it.

The touchpad is quite good, at least twice the surface area I had on my X230 but we will see over time how easy it is to adjust to the lack of TrackPoint (pointing stick..)

Same insides as the E7240 what I can tell (checked vs the notebookcheck site) - I took off the back easily and am upgrading to 16GB RAM and going to try a 2nd mSATA SSD in the WWAN port, hope that works as I could do with more space than 256GB..

On closer inspection the WWAN port is not mSATA but a short M.2 it looks like... nowhere near long enough to house one of the 2280 form factors.. I'll be getting a 1TB mSata SSD instead then... shame it can't take two mSATA SSDs

the WWAN port is a 42mm M.2 port, WLAN is a 30mm M.2 port. So far I haven't been able to find any PCIe based M.2 SSD that is 42mm long. All of them seem to be 80mm long.
