At this point, it looks like you are limited to ordering i3 systems. Configuration options and accessories are pretty limited. My favorite? Adding Firefox costs $14.00.

All kidding aside, I am looking forward to ordering one of these laptops.

This may simply be a coincidence, but the Build-Your-Own Latitude 12 7000 and Latitude 14 7000 have disappeared from our Dell Premier page overnight. It's possible that Dell is preparing to add an updated set of options in line with today's anticipated Wave II refresh.

I'll contact our Account Manager for further information.

Edit: As of 7:21 AM (PST) the consumer Dell Laptop/Ultrabook page is inaccessible.

Please keep us posted! I've heard 9/12 is the official day, so hoping to see an i7 option, WAN, etc online later today.

At ~8:00 AM (PST) our Premier page was updated with the following "Smart Selection" configuration for the E7240:

I still don't see an option for "Build Your Own", so hopefully that is forthcoming.

Windows 7 Professional English 64bit (Includes Windows 8 Pro license)
    14.0 HD (1366x768) Wide View Anti-Glare WLED-backlit

Yea, saw that. Though they don't have the typical 20-30% discount on them yet like the other models. I'd give it anywhere from a few hours to a few days and it will show up.

Any news from the partner direct site?
