Does anyone know what the difference is between:

    14.0 HD (1920x1080) Wide View Anti-Glare WLED-backlit add $0.00
14.0 HD (1920x1080) Wide View Anti-Glare WLED-backlit, WiGig capable [Included in Price]

I'm guessing the antenna configuration is different. but I can't find any reference to this in the service manual or the product guide.

I'll be ordering it with the Intel Centrino Advanced -N + WiMAX 7260 card.

    Thanks!

Ohh man I have been trying to search forever and it is impossible and hate when they don't give details. I really wish they had the 13.3 inch version because I thought that was the sweet spot but deciding on the 12.5 inch or 14 inch version. The thing I cannot determine is this

I only want an anti-glare as I get anxiety thinking about having a glossy screen so touch is out. The 7240 has the 1366x768 as the only option for that and I know that is not an IPS display like the touch. So the only other option is the 7440 which has the 1366x768 default and the option for the 1920x1080 antiglare as an option. What is the difference between a regular LED panel (i.e. 1366x768 for the 7240) vs the 1920x1080 Wide Angle Anti-Glare for the 7440? does that mean its an Anti-Glare IPS display for the 7440?

I finally ordered mine. Estimated delivery date is October 10th.

Anyone have any feedback on how good the battery life is? I ordered a 3 cell primary battery and a 4 cell secondary battery.

I called Pro Support about this and they had no idea. So they escalated it to another department and said I should have a response in 48 hours. I'll post the reply once I get it.

Our Dell Account Manager (who is a fantastic person, incidentally) set us up with a "Try and Buy" of the E7240 and configured it with the 1920x1080 touch display and Dell's DW1601 WiGig card. The Dell PartnerDirect Latitude 7000-series Spec Sheet PDF has actually been spot-on about all of the available options, but most of them still need to be configured over the phone.

Our trial is in production and is expected to ship on October 8th, so we'll see how it goes.

Can you please ask your account manager if the 1920x1080 screen on the 7440 is an IPS Screen?

Also can you please ask what the difference is between the following options for the E7440:

    14.0 HD (1920x1080) Wide View Anti-Glare WLED-backlit add $0.00
14.0 HD (1920x1080) Wide View Anti-Glare WLED-backlit, WiGig capable [Included in Price]

    Thanks!

There is no display manufacturer in the world, which produces a non IPS fHD 14 inch display. If it's a 14 inch display and does have a resolution of 1080p it's an IPS panel or an AHVA one.

    Good to know. Thanks!

Still no updates from Pro Support on what the difference is between the two 1080p screen options on the E7440 :(
