I have also a Dell E6510 (Dell E6510 - i7-Q840 - 8Gb - 256 Gb SSD). Unfortunately it hangs (mouse/sound, etc..) for 0.2 seconds every 2 seconds, when i start a backup from my SSD to an external HDD which is plugged in by eSATA. CPU usage is at 13%.

Has anyone a suggestion how solve that?

The Wii has its own proprietary video output. You need to obtain an appropriate Wii video adapter -- either "standard video" aka composite video (a single video cable with a yellow shell) or "component video" (3 cables with red, blue and green shells). Both are TV analog video standards, not computer standards. Neither of them are VGA compatible. Composite video is only for 640x480 interlaced. Component video can be used for HD analog video. Most modern TVs have both composite and component video inputs. Older TVs have only composite.

Perhaps the SSD is discharging data faster than the external HDD can accept it... so there is a pause to catch up? :)

Of course the SSD is faster than the HDD but that shouldn´t freeze the whole computer. When i plug in the HDD by USB, the problem is gone. eSATA seems to be the problem, perhaps a badly programmed driver.

I see. Is the system running SATA in IRRT/RAID mode? Is the SATA driver up-to-date?

    Hi,

It's unbelievable but after three months using my latitude left <Ctrl> key fell of from the keyboard. I tried to put the key back to the its palace but it was hopeless, the key fell of again and again. Dell support sent me the new keyboard on the next day without backlight. It's ok.

The keyboard I had was a keyboard with backlight, mounted by seller as paid option. I just wonder how to figure out whether the broken keyboard it's a fake or not? Three months it's too short for a keyboard to die. I feel under my fingers that the new keyboard (sent by dell) its just much higher quality.

Key fell off, poor quality, not sold by Dell, no warranty... call it 'fake', problem solved.

Thank you for such simple solution. You right.
Keyboard has warranty, seller will send me a new one.

But I wonder where to buy the new one original from Dell with backlight. I need US Ansi layout. I browsed catalogue with parts for my latitude but found no keyboard for laptop. Can I buy one from Dell?

Others buy the backlit keyboard off of eBay.

As a previous happy owner of E6510 I was ready to order another 15" Latitude. this time I was looking for newer E6520, but after reading 6520 forum I am completely turned off by all SSD issues they having. Mine E6510 with Intel 160GbG2 was not a problem at all.
So what you think? Is it really worth it to stick with last model or not?
    thx
