Latitude E6400 Owner's Lounge

I just got mine. Except for having to pop a corner of the keyboard in I am pleased with my purchase. Screen looks great! I got the 1440x900 LED version. The backlit keyboard is pretty cool as well. If anyone has ?s, please ask.

 

Here's my question. When did you order it?

Grr.. mine's in a city 3hr away from where I live..

 

Ordered last Thursday. I should have had it yesterday but some type of mixup occured.

 

YYYAAAYYY! My housemate happened to be there to receive the laptop for me. However, I can't get back until 8-8:30 tonight. I'll let you guys know what I think of the laptop as soon as possible.

 

Does the audio skip when playing music or videos? Also, do you have the nvidia or intel video chip? Thanks.

 

I haven't heard too much feedback on the sound quality of the E6400 and the webcam. What kind of sound card does it have? Are the skipping issues which I've heard some mention across the board? Also, the specs you guys keep listing show 0.3 megapixel for the webcam--that sounds rather low quality. Inspiron 1420 comes with 2 megapixel. Are you sure that it isn't 1.3 megapixel at least (maybe a typo)? How many have tried using the webcam for skype and similar purposes?

Two of the major reasons why I'm looking to pick the E6400 over the older Latitude D630 are better sound and webcam (D630 doesn't have one)...hope I'm not disappointed in these areas.

I have the intel chip and I have no problems with skipping.

 

Yeah, I'm really loving the LED backlit screen...I can actually put it next to my desktop LCD monitor and not have a problem.
