Latitude E6400 Owner's Lounge

Those measurements are in the review. It's actually the same front and back, no slope.

 

I'm getting 1.25 inches, feet included. It's ever so slightly thinner at the front when it's sitting on a table, though the underside of the chassis does slope up near the front.

Yeah I saw measurements in the review, but thought they could be directly off the dell website so wanted to confirm. Have been burned in the past (although admittedly that has been with laptops that slope more considerably... manufacturer posting the height at the thinnest point).

Hi there can anyone say if the Displayport supports Digital Sound?
Or is there any other way to get digital Sound from the E6400 ??

Just ordered my E6400. Took a long time of configuring because I kept trying to decide whether or not the P9500 was worth $140 extra over the P8600 but I think I made the right choice. The DVD/RW was also something I decided to cut to save money since I have a desktop to burn DVD's and I rarely do that anymore anyway.

OMG, has anyone else experienced this? I am living in Ann Arbor, Michigan right now and I placed my order for the Dell E6400 on the 4th. It was scheduled to be shipped on the 19th and was supposed to arrive on the 24-26. However, it was shipped today! and it's going to arrive tomorrow! That's a nine day difference in estimated production time. Is that strange or what?

 

Actually, I am a little worried now. I have no time to set it up so that I can be sure that someone would receive the package for me. All I can do is leave a note at my door. DHL isn't going to seriously leave a dell laptop outside the door right?

 

I wouldn't argue with it!

I ordered on Friday and it shipped today.
