    I think the card socket is soldered onto the motherboard. See the illustration here.

    This looks as if it lets you put a 34mm Expresscard into a PC card slot (and is half the price of the Expresscard to PC card adaptors).

    another curiosity of mine : dell lists my e6400atg as being able to work at -30degreeC
    Seagate says the drive works only from 0C and up (st9250410asg)

    FYI, I've just tested 90W battery from my E6410 in the E6400 and it works fine.

    I suspect that the oil in the bearings starts to solidify. However, would you be letting the computer get that cold before starting it up? The heat from the CPU would stop the internal components from getting very cold once the computer is running.

    Also, maybe, the specs mentioned on Dell assume that you use a SSD drive and not an HDD.

    i was looking at the mushkin callisto deluxe 120 excellent performance at a great price, but it works only above 0.

    People do you know of any docking stations that have a expresscard slot?
    i only have a cardbus one.
    can i use the mediabay to get a slot?
    could dell change it into expresscard without changing the motherboard.
