    Nice! That is generally about how long laptops will last, however the build quality on yours looks like it will last longer. At least the case will.

    So how often are you guys blowing the dust out of your 3540's? I am finding that if I don't do it at least once a week I will lose a lot of performance. 70 degrees Celsius seems to be the limit for the CPU/GPU until they both start to throttle like mad and you get 50% less performance.

    70C? In notebookcheck review they wrote 76C;

    Well, I'll use Coolaboratory Liquid Pro thermal paste and also do undervolting to keep temperatures under limit.

    Yeah it is right around there. I don't keep tight tabs on the Temps but it was around 70 when I noticed fps drop.

    Also how would you undervolt ?

    I tried the software a while back and for some reason all the options were grayed out.

    On a side note does anyone know of a better keyboard we can install on these laptops? I am getting used to it but I am jealous of those folks with the lenovo y50 laptops.

    Well, Finally the laptop is with me and here comes my first few benches;

    -2472 3DMark11 points straight out of box, everything is at default,

    -2639 points with new drivers and 2x4GB 1866MHz CL11 RAM,

    -2647 points with undervolting (offset voltage -80mV)

    By the way the laptop awesome, super screen, it is relatively thin, quiet and cool. Later more benches...:)

    Oh wow, Atom Ant you are awesome! I have pretty much taken all thermal concerns out of the equation here! It turns out the last time I ran it I forgot to run it in administrator mode. Now this thing runs fine and I do not have any further issues with it. I will report back with what I find with undervolting. I don't think throttlestop works for OCing though as this CPU's multiplier is locked.

    Just go ahead, Throttlestop not only has positive effect for temperatures, but also for CPU frequency. It helps to keep my max turbo during full load. Here, I have posted my CPU frequencies during extreme load by Prime 95. What offset voltage can handle your CPU? My unfortunately gets unstable at -85mV and beyond.
