Quadro P4000. I ran the benchmarks on both the integrated GPU and the Quadro P4000.

One more thing: I would immediately manually update the Intel WiFi 8265 driver (if that's what you're using) from Windows Update after you use the Dell Command Update utility, as the Dell supplied one gave me a blue screen DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL netwtw04.sys.

SteamVR score on the P5000 is 10.2 with current drivers. That is huge for a laptop.

thanks guys, for all that info.. as i understand it, powerful machines in a sleek design have poor cooling systems, thereby eventually compromising the performance itself.

i was hoping for a powerful machine + a decent pen/touch input + mobility... seems there is none as yet..:(
I guess i have to go for the 7520.....

i dont want be off-topic in this thread, but one last query... if i were to take the GeForce GPU route( and not the Quadro GPU ones) for a video editing, what would be the laptops with similar/comparable performance to those of the Dell Precision series? Are there any?

    Thanks!

You are going to have a hard time find a combination of good build quality, cooling, processing power and most importantly, screen quality in other models. You will find yourself coming back to the Precision series.

If you want a second opinion, which is always a good thing, fill up the form and make a new thread here :)

Just got my 7520. The performance is great, and the computer is amazingly quiet. But I have the following issues:

[1] does not connect 3 external monitors (previously a sale chat agent has confirmed that it works with 3 external monitors without docking station)
[2] the cable connecting the USB-C port and the monitor needs to be unplugged and then plugged to make the monitor display.
[3] the fingerprint reader (full Scan FIPS fingerprint reader) is very difficult to use, and 9 out of 10 times it does not recognize my finger.

I have asked Dell support regarding to the first two issues, and he asked me to download/install 7 drivers. I did but the issues persist. (Actually the driver update broke my deep learning environment :( )

I wonder if anybody has solution for the above issues?

Are you holding your finger on the FIPS scanner for a full three or four seconds? (I've never had much trouble with accuracy, but it is a slow scanner.) You just touch your finger to it, do not press down hard. Also, when you enroll your fingerprint, you should touch your finger in a few different positions so that it is most likely to get a good read no matter how you place your finger on there.
