I've had a few quirks occur, not sure if the creators update or what. Main one is waking from sleep is inconsistent on one of our 7710s, sometimes it awakes correctly and other times I get blank screen (back lit but black... keyboard lights up and HDD indicator is constantly flashing like it is doing something). When that happens (3 times now) I hard reset, holding the power button for 5 secs or so. I hope it auto corrects eventually and problem goes away by itself, else I'll probably fresh install (via windows "feature" to do that). And if that fails I'll nuke the drive via clonezilla or somethingl like that and reinstall from USB. Must be some software IRQ conflict with video driver, I've no idea (is random).

Yeah, my other computers are fine with creators update. But I don't put them to sleep ever or anything 'fancy', they are rudimentarily used as servers for me. Creators is more stable than before for me though, not getting BSOD as I was in past.

Hate to share this but I had 1 of my Precisions changed the MB due to the similar symptoms of wake/sleep issue, Dell was quite obliging in that respect, after the change no more issue. I am not saying it is a MB issue but that was my experience with it

Hi guys I have recently encountered this while in another thread.

I have upgrade to Windows 10 Pro Creators and would like to encrypt my drive using Bitlocker with TPM. As I was setting it up I went to TPM management(control panel-bitlocker-TPM administration) and the error is 'cannot load management console, error code 0x80090030'. I guess it means W10 cannot see the TPM chip functioning. This is for both the 7710 and 4800. Anyone here have similar issue or solutions, appreciate the sharing

BitLocker/TPM working without issues here on M6700, M4800, and 7510. Silly question, you did enable the TPM in the BIOS, right? It is not enabled by default.

thanks Aaron, yes it was enabled all the time. For the 4800 I disabled and enabled and it is working right now, for the 7710 I have no luck yet, the board is new hence there was no previous owner and this is a personal machine which I have not tempered with all the time. In Bios 4800 there is no option to 'clear' it but in 7710 there is an option to 'clear' but again it is new so I guess there is no need to clear anything.

Thank you, I'll definitely keep your suggestion of Mobo replacment in mind if I give up on it being software or driver related.

Hi Aaron i have called Dell and they said 7710 with Windows 10 Pro Creators will need to flash to TPM 2.0 ( i currently have 1.2). i am not sure if this is a good idea as i have never done it before. Can help to check your 7510 what is the TPM version please ?

thanks Aaron, very much. When you flashed yours are there any issues ? i have not flashed nor activated the TPM, no Bitlocker etc, just want to be sure it does not affect other programs ie PIN code for windows access, etc
