Anyone run two ultrawide monitors with their 7710? I am looking to get two LG 34UC88 with a resolution of 3440 x 1440. I assume it can drive two of these displays but wanted to double check.

It can drive multiple 4K displays, so this should be fine, as long as you are using DisplayPort-based connections on the system, e-port dock, or Thunderbolt dock.

Been using two TB15 with 3 monitors on my 7710. Around a month ago, one of the monitors kept going out on one TB15. They sent me a replacement and it has been good so far.

Earlier this week, on the other TB15 one of the monitors is going out. Chatted with support and they said they are not allowed to ship any replacements and either I can wait until the issue is resolved or they will issue a refund. He had no ETA on replacements and said it can be months.

I believe there were other posts about the TB15 not being available due to issues as well.

Tech also stated the Pro2X port replicator will not work with the 7710. He said it si a power issue, but he did not have a lot of info on it so I think he might not be correct. I have several Pro2X from when I had a 6700 and might go back to that.

Is the spacer really needed to use the Pro2X or does it just make it simpler to get it seated?

You can use PR02X with the 7710 as long as you connect a good power supply. You can use the one that shipped with your 7710.

The spacer is not required, it just assists with aligning the 7710 on the dock.

With the 7510, switchable graphics enabled, I had an issue with displays not reconnecting after I put the laptop on the dock while it was running. Had to reboot to get displays working again.

I have been setting up WD15 docks instead of TB15 which I had a pretty bad experience with. WD15 working pretty good so far, actually no issues to report using it with my 7510 for a few days now.

thanks. I do have switchable graphics enabled. However, last time I had an issue (different TB15), I did try disabling the switchable graphics and it did not solve the issue. A new TB15 did. I think something is overheating in it.

My issue with the WD15 is right now I am using three screens and I think that only supports two. If I switch to two LG 34UC88 maybe that will work for me then.

    EDIT:

Found this page and it notes the max resolution for two screens on the WD15 is 1920 x 1200.

Yes, it is true, WD15 is two 1080p screens max (or one 4K, 30 Hz). I only use two screens (plus the laptop screen) so works for me.

thanks. Do you know without a dock, when hooking up HDMI and mDP directly, what is the max resolution of each screen for two screens?
