I spoke to a Dell support staff member on the online chat via the german website - he told me "mid February" but that date is at least the second delay.

But the 7710 that they reviewed was mid range.

Currently building my image on a 7710 with 3x Samsung 951 drives in RAID0. Has the Xeon cpu and M5000M. The 4K screen is beautiful.

what is the difference between the samsung 950 pro and the 951? Is the 950 the retail version and 951 OEM?

    thanks,

    Mike

So nothing that is bugging you with the 4K?

Good viewing angle and how about maximum brightness?

Nothing bugging me yet, but I have only been working with the system for a few hours. Brightness seems normal. Viewing angles are not quite IPS, but are MUCH better than TN. About the same as the M3800 and 5510.

Hi @mr_handy and who want to answer

    a RAM question
    Keeping in mind here: http://euro.dell.com/eu/en/gen/Dell....aspx?refid=precision-m7710-workstation&s=gen
    Dell says:
Supposing I'd need 64gb, is it too much hasty thinking about

    2666mhz
    http://www.gskill.com/en/finder?cat=33&prop_17=2666MHz&prop_18=0&series=2678&prop_67=Dual-channel&prop_16=32GB+(16GBx2)

    or even

    2800mhz
    http://www.gskill.com/en/finder?cat=33&prop_17=2800MHz&prop_18=0&series=2678&prop_67=Dual-channel&prop_16=32GB+(16GBx2)

    ?

is the USB C / Thunderbolt worth waiting for? I am working with Dell on a replacement and I can order a 7710 now without USB C or wait for USB C where they "think" it will be available for order on 2/18.
