My early E6400 came with one of the older (fatter) PSUs because the new model wasn't available at the time. It has caused no problems.

As long as the PSU has the same voltage (19.5V) then it will work. A higher power rating is no problem. My E6400 runs fine on a 65W PSU (after Dell fixed the BIOS) but came with a 90W PSU.

Seems Dell cancelled and remade lots of 6410 orders today. My rep said something about "updated drivers" and a "face-lift" due to the "new processors beeing introduced with the 6410 series".

Dell is taking their precious time with my order. It's been 8 days "in production"!

I don't work for Dell, and only ordered 1 laptop form them (my first one - E6400), so I am really just assuming.

    It could be:
    - Maybe one of the batch for a/some part(s) for the laptop is in transit, and delays and complication with the air planes because of the volcano creates further delays.

    - High demand.. My laptop took 5 days, demand was indeed high.

    - They can't ship laptops due to the volcano problem so they are being stacked up in the warehouse of Dell as they can't ship them. In my case, I recall, that my status passed form production to shipped when I ordered my E6400.. and I was checking it many times per days, as I was very exited to get it.

The sound quality with the headphones output is actually quite reasonable. It's almost on par with my NuForce uDac. It's much more practical to not use it though...
(I've only tested with a pair of Shure SRH-440 though)
