thanks for the pics but this is a small letdown for me

no preinstalled WWAN / UMTS antennas are a big problem for me and i might have to contact my reseller to add the UMTS upgrade now instead of purchasing a module on ebay...

another thing i don't like is that the top right minicard slot used for the latitude on module (it appears to be a phison based SSD and no ARM processor add in card) is only half height which makes it impossible to add a pcie based SSD...

Exactly my initial thoughts. I dislike the silver/black contrast.

Nice to hear the batteries are compatible.

my e6410 should arrive at my reseller in germany on april 24;; it'll take another 1-3 days to get to austria :D

buying through a dell Premium partner is about 2 weeks faster than a regular order and even cheaper than a good discount from a dell rep

i guess that i'm going to live with the lack of an internal UMTS module and stick to a small express card adapter (they come free with your contract vs 80€ for the 5530 module)

    thank you for the pictures.

does the 6410 use a 2.5 inch HD or is it 1.8?

also on the site it says "light sensitive camera" is it really 3 MP?

Thank you. It took took Dell 20 BIOS revisions to get the E6400's cooling as good as they could get, so the E6410 has scope for refinement.

More back-to-back testing would be to compare idle and full load temperatures and power drains for both (also indicate which CPU / GPU is in each).
Definitely 2.5". Dell offers up to 500GB.

Thanks for the info. That lead time is pretty amazing! I wonder if the same goes for SMB customers.

    Thanks.

my first order was customer and their delivery date was 2010-05-05; after switching to a reseller (who is a large business) this was shortended to 10 days (2010-04-24) so i guess that you have to wait a bit longer...
