    Thank you guys.
I think I will go with the 1333MHz since it is more future proof.

Speaking about future proof, would it be more wise to choose 1x8GB DDR3-1333MHz instead of 2x4GB DDR3-1333MHz?
It will cost a bit more but I will have one more memory slot free.

Furthermore, is it possible to combine the old 2GB DDR3 with the new 8GB DDR3 and result with 10GB RAM in total?
If this last case is possible, should also the new 8GB DDR3 be at 1066MHz in order to cooperate with the old 2GB DDR3-1066MHz?

I believe 8GB is the maximum total RAM the E6410 can take, so I'd go with the 2x4GB sticks, obviously.

    Thanks a lot Pylon757

Check around the forum though, I seem to recall some discussion about the E6410 or E6420 and 16GB RAM.

Using one 8GB stick should work, but there's no guarantee...I've used a single 2GB stick in a D610 (max is 2GB), and it works fine. If it does work, don't use the 2GB with it.

FYI, I ended up with the 2x4GB DDR3-1333MHz memory modules.
Thank you guys for all your helpful guidance and support.

Of course, as you also mentioned, the memory runs at 1067MHz.
But I finally chose these memory modules since their price was exactly the same with the 2x4GB DDR3-1066MHz modules and also due to the future proof option!
Everything is running fine and there is a significant better performance.
I am very happy for this improvement with just 42 euros.

    Sorry, not me...

I am trying to find if it is possible to replace the LCD screen of my E6410.

From the beginning that I bought my E6410, I was really disappointed concerning the angular view which is very narrow limited.
I was used to the superb LCD screen of my previous notebook, Toshiba Satellite 5200-902 (15", 1600x1200), which had a perfect view from all angles. It was very difficult to find an angle that the screen was not possible to view. Unfortunately, the screen of the E6410 is exactly the opposite as it concerns the view angles.

Has anybody tried or found a better compatible replacement for the LCD screen of the E6410?
Any proposals or ideas are welcome.

Which model LCD do you have? I have the AUO screen, which seems pretty good.

Well, I have not disassembled the laptop to check with my own eyes, but according to the AIDA64 software, the screen I have is the "AU Optronics B141PW04".

The problem is that you can see clearly on the screen only in a specific angle. If you change a bit the way you sit in front of your laptop then you have to re-adjust the angle, again and again.
Furthermore, somebody, who is standing above you, cannot watch clearly. He will have to bring his eyes next to yours in order to have a clear picture view and colors.

I really miss the time from my old laptop when the view was clear at all angles, horizontally and vertically.
That is why I am looking if there is the possibility to try another compatible screen with significant larger wide-angle views.

Looking to upgrade my e6410 since my wife won't let me get a new system right now (d'oh!). I'm contemplating going SSD (I've heard once you go SSD, you never go back), and I was curious what the best drive (most compatible) would be for the e6410 in the 250GB range. I was planning on replacing my internal hard drive, so I'm assuming I would also need an SSD mount/caddy as well.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Googling "e6410 and SSD" brings up a lot of scary sites talking about compatibility problems, so I wanted to check with the experts here.
