I have the same issue. Did you ever determine a solution?

+1 on disabling Speed Step. I tried new video drivers (including the newest (non-Dell driver from Nvidia), every single bios update, and a fresh install of Windows 7, nothing made a bit of difference with respect to resume from sleep. I would get 3 - 4 resumes until the screen would be black and I would have to power-off and restart.

I finally disabled Speed Step last week and have not had a single issue since then (have been through at least 40 wake/sleep cycles).

Dell really needs to fix this! Glad that the fix works for you as well. I am going to be putting a request into dell!

Does anyone else feel that the LCD on the E6410 is subpar compared to other Latitudes or is mine just bad?

AUO screens on the E6410 are actually quite good, but what models are you comparing to? I've found the E6X20 models to have pretty bad screens.

Compared to my older E6400 and newer E6220, the E6410 has IMO easily the worst screen.

Check what model LCD you have (in the Device Manager, look for the monitor's hardware ID).

I've found LG Philips screen to be fairly good as well, except with a bit of blue or pink tint, and Samsung screens are just pretty bad all-around.

My hardware ID shows LGD0249, which would seem to imply an LG screen. The colors seem washed out, however, and at times I feel like there are subtle horizontal lines flickering like you could see with old analog displays. Everything looks fine when connected to an external monitor though.

You can adjust down the gamma, which should help. Also, make sure the refresh rate is 60Hz, not 40Hz.

hey guys im a dell field service tech and one of the most common models im seeing right now is the e6410 and i have noticed that with almost all of computers i have done hardware replacements that have been 6410 they all have a slight flex in them there are little clips on the sides that the keboard locks into however it seems that no matter what its going to have a flex...from what i have noticed in the field is that the newer models that have screws on back of the system to help hold down the keyboard such as the 6420's dont have that flex in the keyboard. However so most of you know a little flex in the 6410 keyboards are normal.
