    Glad this is getting more press... Now that its summer again in .au my machine has become useless unless I put the air conditioning on.

    My (Intel GPU) E6400 used to throttle itself if powered by a 65W PSU but Dell fixed that problem in a BIOS update about a year ago. The basic rule is that 65W is enough for integrated graphics while 90W is needed for dedicated graphics.

    And 90W is not enough for an i7 and a dedicated card. :D Sorry to hijack the thread; we 1645 owners kind of jumped on some of your press: our CPUs (though not as severely) are underclocking because of power concerns. :)
