Stop worrying. Get that OCZ RAM. The timings will be at least as fast as the Dell supplied RAM and I expect it to work fine. It did for me.

It's easy! All you need to do is sneak over to a factory in China making the Dell E6400, and then sneakily take one when they're not looking....:)

Yeah, I was still thinking in terms of 667MHz, which is what my 1535 uses. I mixed the original Dell stick of 5-5-5-15 with a new stick of 4-4-4-12 and it wouldn't even POST. I guess that could be some other issue, though, if the BIOS would automatically adjust the timings.

I'm currently running two 2GB sticks, each 667MHz with 4-4-4-12 timings. I'd be doing 800 for sure if my chipset supported it, but unfortunately this is the older Studio 15 model, with the Santa Rosa platform and PM965 chipset.

Dell has different versions of backlit keyboards. My original bk keyboard has some flex in the middle, uses different key materials, and the mouse buttons are harder than the second one I received. Of course, I did not know that until I received a replacement due to some mouse cap issue.

I like the replacement bk keyboard better b/c of the softer mouse buttons, not so easy get dirty keys, and no flex in the middle.

Overall I like the keyboard. It feels different from the T61. It might not be as rock solid as T61 but the bk function trumps it.

As a side note, I received a replacement on the 6 cell battery and they are from different manufactures too.
