    Uhh... seems like it hasn't been suggested in this thread yet, you should get HWMonitor and see which part in particular is having the heat problem.

    Allright here are my temps after playing far cry for 30 minutes:

    Cpu: 95C° :(
    Gpu: 92C°
    Memory: 67C°
    Chipset: 75C°
    Harddisk: 49C°

    Is your fan running at all? These temperatures are not normal for a Vostro 1500.

    Its always running around 4770 upm!! :(

    I guess that I will contact dell tomorrow then :/ the cpu just peaked out to 96C° even though its undervolted to 1.1V

    Just for reference, I played COD4 for about an hour yesterday, the peak tempreatures were 71-72 C for both GPU (overclocked to 650/500) and CPU (undervolted to 1.1625). You definitely have got a problem over there. Since you have tried cleaning the heatsink with compressed air and verified that the fan is working, I agree, it is time to call Dell. Good luck!

    Yeah...if it hits 100C, it'll be at least damaged and at worst fried.

    I just called dell, the support was very nice and he told me that a technician will come over here to replace the motherboard on monday, hopefully this will fix the problem! :O

    thanks for your help you guys, this forum proved again very helpfull!
