I'm considering to buy one of these vostro 3460 laptops that seems you already have.

By the way you wrote some problems with this laptop up in this forum, so I'd like to ask that were you able to solve them?
What are your overall feelings about this laptop? Could you emphasized some advantages and disadvantages? Is it still a noisy machine? Could is deal with the high temperature using massive programs?

Dell sent a new battery that seems to have fixed the issue.

The system is nice and does quite a bit for its size. There is some occasional fan noise depending on what the machine is doing.

I am not the primary user so I can really comment to any other specifics. I've only done some troubleshooting and the initial setup of the machine.

Is there anything specific I could check on for you?

Those scores looks good, I have been also considering buy one Vostro 3460 to test and playing with. However the current price is keeping me back, maybe I'll wait until it shows up in Outlet.
