    Thanks, Aaron.

I don't like glossy screens because of the glare, which reduces contrast too much for my liking. So while they have better saturation in a perfect, dark, nonreflective environment they have worse saturation in most environments because the glare is mixed in.

    OK, can order now.

I PM'd you the US part numbers.

230-12637 Appears to be the Covet 100% gamut RGBLED IPS panel.
230-12639 Appears to be the regular Federal Grey 100% gamut RGBLED IPS panel.
230-12640 Appears to be the 72% gamut WLED panel.

Something that may be worth noting is that the Covet's E2E IPS Panel does not seem to come with the "Premium Panel Guarantee", at least in Europe. However it does come with the Premium Panel Guarantee in the US, when I checked last time.

I believe the wording usually isn't really clear/definitive at all, should be able to arrange exchange or whatever if in case get a bad panel.(dead pixel, corner tint etc)

Anyways the "premium panel guarantee" is meh anyways if you looking at the detail

"If a Dell customer discovers a permanent bright white dot, or pixel on their UltraSharp monitors within the term of the Limited Warranty1, the unit can be returned to Dell for replacement,"

    Hi All,
I have just become a proud owner of a M6700, and have a couple of questions for the people running Linux on their machines...

    • Has anyone managed to get scrolling/multi point gestures working with the touch pad? I am using Linux Mint 14 but pointers from any distro would be great...
    • Has anyone had any luck with bumblebee? I can only get a 640x480 resolution when I install it so at the moment have just disabled Optimus.
    • Does anyone else's WiFi light constantly flash even when there is no network traffic?

    Thanks

The mods here put previews on my images and put all of the sections that I had not completed under the "Spoiler" section. Was strange since I don't host the images here, so it should not have been an issue.

Anyhow, I am getting ready to finish the review as soon as my new work machine arrives. It is a Covet with the 3940XM, pair of 512gb SSD drives in Raid0, external battery slice, K5000M, and all of the other goodies.

Machine is in production and they estimate Jan 3rd arrival.
