The 6300 is three streams for up to 450Mbps link rate (provided your router is also three streams) and the 6205 is a two streams card for a link rate of up to 300Mbps. Both of those adapters also support both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands (again to use 5GHz, your router needs to be able to use it too). The Dell cards are 2.4GHz only, the 1504 is 1x1 (150Mbps) and the 1540 is 2x2 or two streams so 300Mbps. In my experience, the Intel cards are much better at sustained data transfer from one computer to another over a network if that is important to you.

The Dell wireless adapters use Broadcom hardware for the record.

"ODE" is "Optimal drivers for enterprise." Maybe releases geared a little more towards stability? I've searched around about this a little before but couldn't find any hard info.

I use a script that keeps an eye on this page which just gives all of them:

    Hello guys,

I asked Dell for a second Power supply and power cord; it is called:

"Euro 240W AC Adapter With 2M Euro Power Cord (Kit)"

    The price is .... 136,99 euro !!! ex VAT (= + 21% )

This is imho extremely expensive for just a power adapter....

Are thes cheaper ( but safe ) alternatives on the market please ?

    THX !!!

Ebay have them around 40USD, depending on currency and location, it should be around that price point.

OK, THANKS baii and THANKS Tijo for your replys !!!
I very very much appreciate it !

    But...one ( i hope final ) setup-question:

With my Thinkpads I always used a dock for connecting printer, mouse, beamer, external monitors, etc....

I see the best possible solution is this:

    EURO 1 ADVANCED E-port II

    Does anyone use this ?

Are there different power supplies according to the type of laptop ?

    THX

Dell dock are much cheaper second hand(ie ebay), but if you want the new one with USB 3.0, then you need to get from dell.

Seem like the e-port II is the e port plus so that is the best one( 2 digital video out + legacy ports).

You can just use the 240w that come with the m6700.

Just when I thought it was all sorted.

Dell tell me that they have two different IPS screens for the 6700. SKUs 230-12639 and 230-12637.

So they are saying the existing quote has one, and a better one (slightly more expensive) which is only available with a red case (is that the covet model?).

Bokeh or Dell-Mano-G I would appreciate advice here because Dell France don't seem to know what the difference is. I need the wide-gamut IPS one. What is the difference between these?

The red case is the covet machine. Both of the screens should cover 100% Adobe color gamut. The covet has edge-to-edge gorilla glass in front of the screen so it is glossy (but has slightly better color as is the case with glossy screens). So it's a trade off you'll have to decide on, color vs. glare.
