I'm curious about the WWAN slot, would it be possible to run an mSATA SSD in that slot?
If so, is it possible to have two mSATA SSD cards installed and running in the system using both WWAN and mSATA ports for that purpose?

Not as far as I know, the WWAN slot is mPCI-e only, it doesn't have any SATA connections like in some smaller notebooks.

That's correct, an mSATA drive may not be put in the WWAN slot. (This is different than on the M4700 where the WWAN and mSATA are actually the same slot.)

However, a generic mPCI-e card may be installed there. There is a small selection of SSDs that are on mPCI-e cards with a SATA controller on the card that would work. There are also things like this dual micro-SD card reader that you can install internally for extra storage. I'm keeping an eye on that... in a few years when micro SD cards are larger, installing two of those cards with four micro SD cards and Windows 8's "Storage Spaces" feature might make for a nice extra storage volume.

There are some on Amazon, check out this one and scroll down to related items links for a few more. Here is another.

They're not common now since mSATA took off as the standard interface for drives like this. You'll probably only find old models. I don't think I've ever seen one larger than 64 GB.

On a side note, you can also find SSDs that can be installed in the ExpressCard slot. Same story... not common, probably old models, low capacity.

    Hi

I am currently in the market for a new M6700. Now when I select Win 8 as my OS I am unable to select the internal web cam with mic. Only option is mic with no web cam. There is also some other options that is unavailable.

    Thanks

If you buy one with Windows 7, you qualify for the 15$ Windows 8 upgrade, negotiate with Dell to get that 15$ off the price of your laptop and once you receive it, do a "clean update".

    Hi

What is the difference between the "3Yr Basic Warranty - Next Business Day" and the "3Yr Pro Support - Next Business Day" except the extra cost?

    Thanks
