FYI on the tesla M6, the seller says that a usb3-hdmi adapter solves the output problem.

Any major difference between the 3d capable screen and the regular ones? Is it still lvds? I hope it's not glossy I hate those but I do have my broken m6700 with a matte screen may try to swap it out if it's glossy.

The 3D screen is glossy, eDP, and 120 Hz capable. Also you cannot use Optimus while using it (so having a Tesla card would be out).

Ugh hate glossy my dead old m6700 came with one, at 900p, and I immediately got a 1080p matte version. I still have that matte version so I would switch it out and sell the 3d screen. I was wondering about the optimus as well, I really like optimus so I'm def going to switch it out when it arrives. Still for 412$ w ship and tax included, 32gb ram, 3940xm, k4000m, 500gb hdd, 1080p I think it's a steal. Not as good as my other one with the same specs for 299$ in 2018, but workable.

Could you please run the Super Pi 32M benchmark test three or four times (to check out real world single thread processing capacity of the 3940XM) with the Hwinfo or CoreTemp on during the testing (to check out the XM's single thread load temp and power consumption wattage), and share the results screenshots when you receive your new M6700. Thanks

Ok it will be a week or so, cheap free shipping. Don't they have single thread scores on passmark? I know they did previously. From what I remember it was around 2000 on the passmark scale. Here it is on the right side, it's 1932.

PassMark is infamous for being not representative, while technically nonsense according to their scores the 3940XM is 6% slower than 3920XM!

    #139. Intel Core i7-3920XM @ 2.90GHz 2039
    ...
    #176. Intel Core i7-3940XM @ 3.00GHz 1932

Unlike PassMark which is a composite synthetic benchmark, the Super Pi is a real world benchmark that actually does something. Super Pi 32M is a very useful number crunching application that excludes the video processor to estimate the performance between PCs, minus the video processor.

Huh that is crazy about the two extreme processors, CPU ratings not a big interest of mine so I never investigated it, for gpus I usually look at passmark, ul and notebookcheck in game fps. What is a good place to get standard cpu ratings in list ranking form then?
