Quite odd because even on the HD4000 audio works fine, but the k4100m no, i read somewhere that Intel audio driver could give some issue and yes it has the normal Microsoft one but as i mentioned audio with the k4100m does not work, i know AMD cards are worst but i don't want to be in this kind off stuff, just want a decent video card who, won't give so much trouble installling drivers and weird stuff. Even i was thinking the crazy idea to put an mxm a instead, wondering if i could install Realtek audio, to see if it works.

I was also thinking gettting the m6100, but then 2GB are not enough nowadays considering the m6700 can handle serious good cards, well i think i just have bad luck with this one, and yes the Quadro M series are beyond ridiculous prices, but well i now see m4000m on the same price as i bought this GTX 980M... But i am scared i get in the same trouble i had with this GTX

Use "make an offer". You'll be surprised. Sellers will often give a decent discount on the cards. When I tried the Quadro P5000 I got it for a bit over half the going rate this way. Worst that can happen is you get a no, and you can try someone else.

But if i get one of those m series is the same sftuff modding inf? I am coward i would prefer stick to AMD lol and avoid so much trouble, just want plug and play also with drivers too, as far i understand AMD cards will require other x bracet? and what about the GPU heatsink? as far i have been reading here Nvidia is taller for AMD cards...

Yes, Quadro M-series requires modding the INF. I have no experience with the AMD cards, I don't really pay attention to that, so I can't help out there.

No, most Pascal cards are no-go. They have vBIOS issues in this system and will not boot. We don't have a working vBIOS for P3000.

mmm m4000m is in the price range i could afford is from 7710, m5000m is beyond retarded 400+ lol. K series is priced too considering the k5100m is the "strongest" but keppler is running with no more drivers, smh

I don't think your GTX980M is dead, I think it's a genuine GTX980M but there is something that doesn't work, did you try to flash an other vbios ? Like an MSI stock vbios, also dump your vbios and upload it here.
Also did you try with optimus on ? You need to change to 153F instead of 053F for the inf modding if you are using optimus or vice versa.
Also you should not change all line at the same time, just one by one.

I'll mention that I'm running my M5000M with Optimus on. I get some strange behaviors if I run with Optimus off. I.e. sometimes the screen will shut off and not come back on unless I sleep and resume the system.
