You can use CPU-Z to check your memory speed. DDR3-1600 will actually show as 800 MHz, and DDR3-1866 will show as 933 MHz.

I agree with Michiko. You won't see any noticeable difference switching from DDR3-1600 to DDR3-1866.

Yep, DDR3 798 MHz, thanks for the link... so not worth upgrading apparently.

Yes, this is what I'm trying to do. That's unfortunate that there isn't a way to do it properly then instead of plugging a cable in as suggested.

Also you may be able to connect another sound card (USB, Firewire, or PC Card) that has this as an option in the driver. I know it's not ideal, but it would probably be better than an analog capture.

My employer is going to be allowing me to update soon and I would hate to give our money to Lenovo for their new P70... might have to if DELL doesn't get one out in time for our budget turn-over.

Whatever's in the bin the time.

Anyway, the new desktop Maxwell GPUs are out. Anyone care to speculate on when the mobile equivalents will debut? A 40% improvement is definitely something worthy of interest.

I imagine we will see new mobile Quadros within the next few weeks, to go with new mobile workstations coming out from Lenovo and Dell.
