Was lucky enough to get IPS version of M6700 from Dell Outlet but not so lucky about batery, it's pretty much dead :)
Also there is dead/stuck pixel on black/dark backgrounds, does it count as replacement of display for Premium Panel guarantee?

I'm going to call DELL on Monday, but maybe someone can share a story

I had my display replaced immediately, it came with a small smudge or something but it was underneath the top layer of the panel. They didn't give me any hassle.
(You can probably find my post in the first few pages of this thread.)

Will report on Monday how it goes, it's not in the center of the screen, so I don't even notice it.
Anyway gonna push them a little as entry talk with them about this issue was like "meh... we don't know if it counts as bright pixel (as bright only get replaced)".

I didn't even know what it means if pixel is bright or dark, but after reading their page it clearly says that anything visible on dark/black background is counted as "bright pixel", therefor panel replacement should be done.

I had my screen replaced about 2 times while I owned the M6600. Once for a dead pixel and once for some specks of dust that wouldn't go away no matter what. Went with the straight story, hassle free indeed. They did insist on sending a tech over, but I had it installed on my own.

That's the problem: you get the bottom of the barrel leftovers which may or may not be any better. Good luck with that.

I'm having a strange problem, first time I turn it on, the screen physically turns on but stays blank, then turns off completely while windows boots. Shuting the lid or Fn F8 doesn't help. I have to shut down and reboot and then it's ok. Anything I can try changing in the BIOS ? I have the IPS screen...

I don't know. Did you change, add, adjust, or install anything in the first place? Sounds like it could be a software conflict. What about the drivers? Are they all up to snuff?

I had a similar experience, then updated Windows and it went away.
