Likely to work if it is standard MXM 3.0b. Don't think I've seen anyone post here that they've tried yet. Though also, can't recall hearing of any other MXM cards that don't work.

What I read on Chiese forum for instance, it it's actually cheaper to import from US, say outlet or new compare to local dealer.

Getting ripped off? Edit: Oh, I see the feedback thread now. Hmm, wonder what kind of problems he got himself in. Was considering to get an 680M from him, but gave up since I thought the investement doesn't justify the gains and I have no idea what I could get for my K4000M.

I was thinking about the same upgrade as the 680M and MX with 2 GB RAM don't cut it anymore; it should be 780M to justify the price investment over the K4000M. I guess 780M should work if the cooling system can handle it and the card is compatible with the Dell M6700 heatsink for Nvidia cards (should be).

Hello. I recently got a M6700 laptop for work (w/ k3000m graphics card). This is not used for gaming or graphics, but for coding compiling and engineering simulations.

The fan cycling issue was really bothering me so I went out and bought a fan cooling pad. However this did not solve the issue.

So i found this fix in nvidia_inspector from one of the posts.

    cd /d c:
    cd c:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Inspector\
    nvidiaInspector.exe -forcepstate:0,8

Not the issue is gone. But is this ok for my computer? I wont do any damage? Why is it running cooler, yet the current clock is now 324mHz (up from 125 something) ?

    Thanks.

How come with Optimum my M6700 battery lasts only 2hrs ... :(
Should be easily 3-4 hrs right? Balanced power plan.

Well, the GPU has several states with different clocks (like P0, P5 and P8). What you did there is force the P8 state to be used constantly so you get less heat, but also less performance (might be enough for your calculations). It's weird if you have 324 MHz clock in that state so you're probably mistaken and that's a P8 state memory clock. Also, before setting this your GPU was probably going up to 600 MHz when used for calculations, not 135 MHz which is reported in idle.

What they do is they brought in US then ship international, you probably need to look at local forums and check how they do those stuff. Some people make a living doing those.

Just add ~27x do the current config price on dell site, maybe assume 5-10% discount. people have different credit card cashback and cut it down little more.
