Question for the driver gurus, I just formatted and reinstalled everything, drivers and such. However when trying to use my Bluetooth its not detecting anything. Only after a new Bluetooth driver install it'll detect devices. Once you shut down and turn on, Bluetooth doesn't see anything again until you install the drivers. Any idea how I can fix this?

Finally pulled the trigger on an SSD. (Didn't get one when I got the M6700 at launch because I wanted to spend the funds I had on less easily replaceable upgrades.)

Decided on the 500GB Samsung 840. Hoping to install on Thursday. :)

After tolerating it for months now, I'm ready to resolve to window priority issue where you have to minimize windows to see a window underneath....

I recall it was a software issue with the graphics driver(?)

Been waiting for Dell to issue something through their Client System Update, but no luck.

So, can anyone help with this issue, please?

Which NVIDIA driver version are you using? I remember seeing this early on but haven't had the issue in many months. I think we decided it was related to a specific version of the driver (or maybe a couple versions that were all released around the same time).

The latest graphics driver available through Dell is 311.44 from late April, download and install that if you are using something older.

(I haven't used the client system update thing myself, but I hear that many updates released on the web site do not show up in there.)

Does anyone have a link to doing a clean install with Windows 8 (I could only find the one for windows 7). I have the M6700 with K5000M and IPS... The Dell site isn't very specific about which drivers to download or the order of installation.

Driver order is going to be the same with either OS: How to reimage A03 - Dell site
Unless you find a manual that states differently.

Looks like there might be a newer manual for 4th Gen Systems, here's the FTP

Did that, thanks. Will see if that fixed it.
Opened PC (version 2.00) and checked for update ..... when I downloaded it said my hardware is not compatible and shut down the installer?

Update to my previous comment, I looked around google and found some sort of bluetooth reliability fix but it's for vista only. Then another place said to uninstall conflicting drivers. I pretty much got them all off the dell driver page so I doubt that was the case but I uninstalled the intel wireless drivers but that didn't help (just using default windows wifi drivers). Anybody have a guess? Format?
