    I've sent mine back three days ago after calling. They want to send a replacement rather than repairing it;

    I just found a good car-adapter which fits for these notebooks:

    •Inspiron 600M Series

    •Inspiron 8500 Series

    •Inspiron 8600 Series

    •Latitude D500 Series

    •Latitude D600 Series

    •Latitude D800 Series

    - does anyone know if this is the same power-plug-socket as in the M6700?

    thanks!

    I'm getting weird results here on CrystalDiskMark.

    My computer is running two 750GB 7200rpm drives in RAID-1.
    Does anyone know why the read speeds are slower than write? (except for the QD32 readings)

    I've let CrystalDiskMark run twice:

    Code:

    CrystalDiskMark 3.0.2 x64 (C) 2007-2012 hiyohiyo

    That looks like it should work. Not sure what you'll do with the antenna, but you shouldn't need it, the M6700 has antenna leads that you can connect to. (The WWAN antenna leads are there even if you bought the machine without a WWAN card.)

    Just wondering, when looking at the picture of that card you can see it's got it's own SIM-card slot, won't that protrude, preventing the bottom cover to close back on, or would it be small enough to fit?

    I think there should be enough space for that (but can't know for sure without seeing it in person and trying...).

    I wanted the 256gb Msata SSD and 2x750gb 7200rpm drives in Raid 0
    On the Canadian website, those options are not possible. The US version is way better with gazillion of great options. I was way to complex for them to understand. I told myself that I will do it myself one day.

    btw, I have 53gb left on my 227Gb! :eek:
    I did install all the software I need: Adobe Master Collection, Solidworks, Altium Designer, Matlab, etc. I temporally put my videos on the SSD when I work with Adobe Premiere or AfterEffect.

    Go for the 256gb Msata SSD and 2x750gb 7200rpm Raid 0.

    My laptop hard drive crash this summer. Cost between 900$ and 2400$ to get my data back. (if possible)

    You can easily buy the drives yourself and configure them how you want afterwards. That way you'll save a lot of cash. It is true that Canadians get the shaft compared to the US with configuration options often enough with Dell.

    deplorably they don't have an antenna in IPS-panels;

    I was wondering, because it's a mini-pci-"e" card and the notebook data-sheet says it has mini-pci; isn't mini-pci-e only half as big?

    thanks for your input!
