Workstations will have the most feature when compare to other laptops, but the price-performance ratio is so so. Find out what feature you need then it help decide better.

I believe the precision and elitebook have most features, w530 is a step down.
but sager/clevo should be pushing the gigantic workstation model back out. desktop processor/SLI/XF capable.

Yeah, the price/performance ratio isn't all that great, but factor in the warranty and it gets better.

As baiii said figure out which is more important to you and act accordingly.

    Hi all,
I received my M6700 about two weeks ago and all is fine except two things.

    1. When I put it to sleep and wake it back up, the screen remains black. All the lights turn on but the screen remains black. Any idea how to fix this?
    2. When I turn on Full color gamut, I get a posterization effect, anybody knows how to fix this too please? Lastly, is there a way to color calibrate the display without having to purchase a colormunki or a spyder?

    Thank you for your help!
    _Sam

Performance is important, but the main reason i chose Precision is because of the docking station since I daily bring the laptop to and from office/home, having 1 dock at each place. It is soooo convenience that only the future thunderbolt version Clevo or Alienware can catch up (in terms of convenience). And yes i buy Precision just for gaming and some office works without graphic/video or CAD.

I have installed my com with 4X8GB 1600 kingston ram, wasn'table to find any hyperx or vengence.

The help on this thread has been absolutely awesome and I everyday i work on it I only love it more.
    Thanks guys!

the one problem I was annoyed at which never seemed to be a problem in windows 7 was the order of windows overapping the screens. ie bigger windows took priority over smaller windows. switching into basic windows mode helped.

I've bought a sager laptop and it came with a pretty decent no frills bag.
Might I ask, what you are using as a laptop bag or is a good bag for the m6700?
I am not looking at one that looks like a backpack or a big traveler's roller bag that is dragged around like I'm going on holiday. any personal reviews or recommendations? something like this

lastly I've yet to see a single hp 8770w vs m6700 review anywhere. anyone knows any link to even a little? or could this be arranged by notebookreview.com?

Well, I'm a lawyer so I looked for something more elegant then a backpack (my M6600 should be the same size as a M6700).

Claire Chase Executive Briefcase X-wide 154E-Cafe - Luggage Pros

I'm very happy with it (using it now for over a year). Keep in mind that M6600 just fits (you have to take out side protection), you might not be able to use it for later slightly bigger models.

But I wanted an elagant leather bag.

Is there a rule against it in your locality?

Lots of backpacks come in leather.
