    It's a copper part which connects to a heatpipe IIRC, but I don't remember if it was thick enough to allow for dremeling it down to size.

    I'm getting another Quadro P5000m soon. since my GPU was manufactured in 2016 week 18 whereas that M17x R4 is in 2016 week 10. The only other thing I remembered from that upgrade was that I was dealing with a M6700 which has no AMT. I'm gonna try the MSI GTX 1060 soon and see if there's possibility for MSI GTX 1070 or 1060. (They are both G-SYNC and should have better compatibility)

    Interesting. Plenty of space in the 8770W unlike in the M6700. Any mention of what the temperatures are like with 1070? IIRC, the 8770W one-fan cooling was not its strongest point.
