    Glad to hear you're up and running on Windows. I use Linux regularly, but only from VMware Workstation or WSL, so I don't know anything about the graphics switching setup.

    It will work w/o any issue. It's best to get an M2000M that came off a Dell so you don't have to flash it.

    You'll need to run windows in test mode to install unsigned driver. Then edit the driver inf file. Search the forum for step by step.

    1) Go in your system/device driver and disable to current K2100 card
    2) Uninstall the driver for the K2100 card using "DDU - display deriver uninstaller" . Google that and download it.

    Then install your new M2000M card etc.

    3) Download the driver from Nvidia or Dell website. Extract this driver file to a folder/directory. You can change the .exe extension to .zip if that helps you on extract it.

    4) Edit the file \Display.Driver\nvdm.inf if you don't have this file then edit the nvdmwi.inf
    The lines with ">" are new lines. You can change the original lines above it to the new lines or just add the new lines just below the original lines. It doesn't matter.

    The difference between 05CC and 15CC is that one is with Optimus off, the other is with it on. You don't have Optimus with your display but there's no harm in putting it in the inf file.

    NVIDIA_DEV.13B0.06D9.1028 = "NVIDIA Quadro M2000M"
    NVIDIA_DEV.13B0.16D9.1028 = "NVIDIA Quadro M2000M"
    >NVIDIA_DEV.13B0.05CC.1028 = "NVIDIA Quadro M2000M"
    >NVIDIA_DEV.13B0.15CC.1028 = "NVIDIA Quadro M2000M"

    %NVIDIA_DEV.13B0.16D9.1028% = Section214, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13B0&SUBSYS_16D91028
    >%NVIDIA_DEV.13B0.15CC.1028% = Section214, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13B0&SUBSYS_15CC1028

    %NVIDIA_DEV.13B0.06D9.1028% = Section211, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13B0&SUBSYS_06D91028
    >%NVIDIA_DEV.13B0.05CC.1028% = Section211, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13B0&SUBSYS_05CC1028

    5) Now you need to make Win10 to let you install a modified inf file

    Open a cmd prompt with admin rights and type in:
    bcdedit /set testsigning on

    Reboot the computer

    6) go back to the folder/directory that you extracted the drivers and run the setup.exe from there.

    You can turn off the test mode after the driver is installed. Just like in step (5) but with off option instead.

    You should make 100% sure that the card you get is from Dell. You don't have iGPU so you won't be able to see anything to flash the card with Dell vBIOS.

    If you install new windows when you switch the card then you don't have to use DDU to uninstall the driver

    There is no M2000M special for M4800. M4800 doesn't come with M2000M as one of its configurations. The M2000M dell card thay people bought comes from Dell 7510.

    Don't get the card from zbook g3. It's an HP laptop so it's the least compatible with Dell. For a lower resolution M4800 (FHD), people can use the iGPU and see can flash the card with Dell vBIOS. In your case, you can't use iGPU to drive you QHD display so you won't be able to see anything on the screen to flash the card.

    The cheapest Dell M2000M right now in the US ebay site is $125.

    and i search on Ebay about the card i found many cards have same ID (N16P-Q3-A2) and it work for both HP & Dell like that

    im currently rocking a m4800 as my portable system in addition to a m6800 i use as a desktop. i upgraded them both, but the relevant system is the m4800. i upgraded it with a m2000m gpu i got for 100 on ebay. i bought it from canada and it came out of a m7510 so i didn't have to flash the vbios and use modded drivers i put together myself. but something exciting, i discovered that if you custom sign the graphics drivers and import the key into your trusted root authority you can use the driver with games that include anticheat such as fortnite and far cry 5. and its a serious upgrade from the amd gpu the laptop had.
