Sadly, I can't overclock it through any software (MSI Afterburner, Sapphire Trixx, and I have no access to Wattman). I can adjust the voltage, though.
I'd imagine a vBIOS edit would be need to overclock.

I'm quite curious about the M2200 flash myself. Though, I want it for M4800. Good luck & thanks for anyone providing aforementioned flash!

    Hello !

Did anyone test a gecube gtx1050 in a m4800 with QHD screen? It should not be far from a p2000 performance wise.

I'm just wondering about compatibility, apparently I will lose the Vga (I found cheap dp->Vga adapters instead) but otherwise should be good no? It's not a dell model so it should start properly from what I read here and there. What about the bios? It's harder to flash than on Optimus laptops.

The 1050 Ti has a higher tdp than my original k2100m so I would rather use the 1050. Price wise it looks OK around 2000¥.

    Thanks

    Hey guys,
I've just received a Quadro M2200M that I had bought on eBay a few days ago. The problem is - it doesn't work at all. I mean no boot up, just black screen. When I put my old graphics card back then everything works fine as usual. Seller told me that M2200M was loaded with Dell vBios (so it should work I guess). What is even worse my Precision M4800 has UHD display so I can't even switch graphics to check if my computer recognises a new graphics card. What a bad day... Do you guys have any ideas how to deal with it?

I bought it form here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/nVidia-Quadro-M2200M-Graphic-Card-4GB-GDDR5-N17P-Q3-A1-MXM-for-DELL-MSI/192615042103?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Does the m2200m require a full uefi environment?

Or are simply not posting at all?

Aren't dell vbios worse because Dell somehow blocks newer dell cards on purpose?
You could maybe flash it with a mxm to pcie adapter, maybe even connected to the expresscard of you don't have a desktop.

Unlike some other big-name manufacturers, Dell doesn't block any GPUs, but they don't go out of their way to make upgrades easy either. Generally, a newer card with a Dell vBIOS has the best chance of working.
(Unfortunately, I have nothing to offer in this case; when I tried this I made sure to do it with the Intel GPU active but that isn't possible in your situation...)

Here is my idea: what if I install a regular FHD display? Would I get access to switchable graphics?

Some guy on techpowerup is having a similar issue with a Zbook 15 (UHD)
and a M1200. I believe it to be VBIOS related, but have no clue as to what could really be causing it
