Thank you for the answer, I really hope that it's the red with the edge to edge glass. I guess because it's still new they don't have so much information on it yet.

Grats on the Covet Serge, loved both of mine, won't be getting this one since I'm still good on PCs at the moment but def recommend it. It's pretty well made & solid.

I'm pretty sure that's referring to the primary drive.
    This ^^

The salesman is incompetent. Thanks to this site, you likely know more than him.

I was going to get the covet but the E2E glass killed it for me, too reflective for my brightly lit office. Will paint it myself, lol

Well it is anti-glare; and you can always add a glare screen too.
Ugh! Like repainting a brand new car. Anyway, isn't the chassis anodized?

Gotta think that the glass has more glare than no glass. Though it is indeed listed as an "anti-glare" screen on the site.

Of course, but, its the glass that allow for the higher contrast and allow for the vivid blacks that makes the picture so dynamic. You can't get that with a matte screen.

It's a compromise I know, but that the nature of things. And remember, that screen is spec for visual artist and those concerned with color accuracy. Not for those more concerned with text--which can be accommodated by choosing one of the lesser configurations.

It has been confirmed that the Covet is glossy! The screen behind the glass is anti-glare but it's the glass cover which makes it super reflective and the matte finish under the glass is what reduces the crispiness of image! So instead of having the best of both worlds you are getting none! I've used Dell laptops before and the E2E is the worst solution ever (unless the screen behind it is also glossy and you are only after max clarity). Yeah, it's nice to clean and maintain but the compromise is too great, IMHO.

As for painting, it depends on how professional you can get it. If you have access to proper tools and are skillful enough, you can easily make as good a job as the factory. Yes, it's anodized aluminum but that's ok, look in the AW section, people get amazing results. Same like the stock thermal job vs a custom one. You can always use higher quality products and when paired with skills and best practices, the results will be way better ;)

You make it seem like the display is a piece of crap. That's a bit unfair, don't you think?

Most humble apologies. I did not realize that you had..."skills" :p
