Yeah, I actually posted them, but figured I better check my agreement. Funny thing, once u sign the agreement, u cannot open it to read it... a little odd. I got another copy, but I cannot find it... gag... anyway... I chose the M6000 fire pro for its insanely cheaper price. The quaddro was at least $300 more. I7-3820qm processor, turbo boost to +1ghz to 3.7ghz. 16gb of ram 1600mhz, 2 dimms, so I can up to 32gb later. 1080p led, anti glare. Looking forward to getting it.

Oh, and buy quite a bit from dell, usually pre-release stuff. Just got a small batch of 5530s about a month ago. Not impressed with build quality. Out of 43 systems, one was missing 13 screws, and had one defective eject button on the dvdrw. One dimm was not inserted completely either. Anyway other than that, they are blistering fast. Complete boot right at 21.8 sec with a 120gb ssd. Several of the HDD caddies looked like they got stuck in the distribution machine. Oh and one more thing, the heatsink "leg" that is supposed to touch the chipset, isn't touching on 40 of the 43 systems. I am slightly concerned about heat. OK enough ranting. BTW, how do u message somebody on the forum?

I wonder if the M6000 is indeed 128-bit? It seems strange that the top AMD FirePro would be slower than the previous gen - M8900. Do you have any info on the M6000?

M6000 is probably supposed to be a lower end part, and they may release a higher end one later.

M6000 = Cape Verde, based on 7870M/Desktop 7770, 128-bit GDDR5, 640 shaders. These are GCN shaders though, so for compute even though it is less than M8900 it will be faster. For gaming... probably not.

Is M6000 a mxm 3.0b or 3.0a part? My guess is 3.0b since it is not offered in M4700.

I think you have to have 10 posts before the PM feature is available. Then you just click someone's name and choose the "Private message" option.
